Music is a family matter in my studio. I grew up playing music in a family of musicians, and now I play music with my children. Just as with my own children, I enjoy seeing my students grow and mature musically. It is my philosophy to teach and coach music in a positive and supporting environment. I like to find each student's personal expressive musical voice; whether that be playing Queen, hymns, or Mozart. 

My family and I moved to Athens in August, 2017,  from New York City, where I was a music educator and administrator. I have been teaching private and group piano and harpsichord lessons since 2000. In New York City alone, I taught at the Brearley School, the Special Music School, the Juilliard School, the Bronx School of Music and Art, and as a teaching artist for the New York Philharmonic. My degrees in music performance are from Manhattan School of Music (Bachelors in Piano Performance), and the Juilliard School (Master's and Doctorate in Harpsichord Performance). 

Currently,  I am a concert musician, playing harpsichord and organ in the Amethyst Baroque Ensemble, touring with the Astralis Chamber Ensemble, and playing jazz piano with the Dixieland 5. I am a collaborative pianist and do freelance collaborative work at the University of Georgia. I teach Music Appreciation and the History of Popular Music at Athens Technical College and the University of North Georgia. In the summers, I teach Music Theory,  Harpsichord, and early music exploration at Interlochen Arts Camp in  Michigan. 

I teach beginning to advanced music on piano and harpsichord for ages 3 to 103. I also teach group classes that focus on different topics, ranging from "instrument petting zoos." to beginning piano, and introduction to playing instruments such as guitar, recorder, cello, and violin.  My current private studio is in Five Points, Athens. 

I am a mother of three kids, Daphne, Lucille, and Vincent. Daphne is a violin and viola player, Lucille enjoys having fun playing drums, and toddler Vincent loves to sing and dance!
